Minister

A Word from the Manse

Our Minister is Andy Haddow, who together with his wife and family moved down here in November 2012.  He serves the linked parishes of Eyemouth and Coldingham & St. Abbs.

“My journey to this point began quite some time ago. I am an Edinburgh lad born and raised and I first began to understand the Christian faith near the end of my Primary schooling when it was explained to me really clearly at a Scripture Union camp in Ballater. However it wasn’t until the end of High School that I began to take my response to God’s call to faith seriously.

“I went to university in Edinburgh to study Computer Science and Electronic Engineering, but it became clear to me that my career was not to be in those fields. After graduating I moved to a Christian outdoor centre up near Kinross and worked for three years with school groups and church groups who came to the centre. During my time there I also met my future wife Carrie who volunteered at the centre. Yet it wasn’t until I left and returned to Edinburgh that we got together and were married! I worked for four years on an IT helpdesk for a childrens’ charity before going through with my application for the ministry.

“During my training we were blessed with two children Stuart and Cameron who keep us well occupied. However when I’m not working or looking after the boys I enjoy fiddling with computers, reading books, watching films and eating pizza!

“I hope to be able to welcome you on a Sunday, but please take time to introduce yourself if you see me around the villages.”
